Updated: Aug 23, 2021

Plan you getaway to Las Vegas for the next long weekend. We have the top places to hit in Las Vegas along with tips on packing, flights and more! Subscribe today and never miss a post. Let's dive in!

Before you go!

Flights Plan ahead of time! I used Hopper to stay up to date with good prices and potential price jumps. The slow time of year is Nov-Feb and the season picks back up for that Spring and Summer season. The hotel's prices will always be cheaper throughout the week from Fri-Sun the prices jump and possibly even double! For hotels at an amazing rate, I trust Vegas.com. They have all the information on hotels on and off the strip. Booking is easy and effortless.

Packing Winter- A warm jacket so you're able to layer up! Jeans or long and warm comfortable pants. Long sleeve tops. Sweaters just in case the temperature really drops. An elegant outfit that will still keep you cozy. Summer- Shorts, T-Shirts, tank tops, and bathing suits! Fancy outfit for special occasions like a sparkly dress/polo and slacks. Year-Round- Comfortable walking shoes are a MUST! A bookbag or fanny pack to keep all your essentials while exploring! Portable charger because honestly, you're going to be out and about all day!

A valid ID if it's expired you can get rejected entry on dispensaries. Cash!!!! The fee for an ATM can be horrible and if you don't have a car rental driving to your bank is out of the question. A hat and glasses for protection from the sun.

Fremont Street

On Fremont Street is where you will find tons of bars, food, and more. Enjoy the view this where you'll see tons of neon signs! Grab your friends and head on over where you can get on a zipline and zoom across the entire strip!

Prices vary for the time of year but range from $20-25 for the Zipline. Souvenirs can also be found at multiple shops all up and down the street. The party definitely begins here!

High Roller

The High Roller is the giant Ferris wheel right off the strip. The street it is located on is full of restaurants, shops, and even the Fly coaster so you can fly across the entire street in the air! Prices for the Fly coaster can range from $25-35 depending on where you get your ticket. Walk on over its right behind the Flamingo Hotel!

My favorite bite to each was Chef Ramsey's Fish & Chips. The flakey fish is amazing, they also have options for special chips! It is a great stop for lunch and super filling. The High Roller itself is a great place to get an extraordinary view of the city! It's like your own bubble in the air, great for pictures with a sky view. Amazing prices can be found at Vegas.com

Mob Museum

The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement is a great place for those Good Fellas fans. Start off with 100 years of Made Men and go all the way up the 3 floors of Mafioso History.

The Mob contributed to Las Vegas to developing and being putting it on the map, you can learn all about how! Also, don't miss the basement that features an Underground SpeakEasy. Prices for the speakeasy are not included in your Museum Entry. For all the details and pricing head HERE.

The Strat

This a casino, hotel and has a restaurant with a rotating view of the strip! Go online to book your dinner reservations at Top of the world and get the best view of the city. There is a dress code so bring your most elegant dress to impress! (Shorts, tank tops, sports apparel, athletic or flip-flop shoes are not permitted.)

This restaurant is unlike no other, with a dining room that revolves every 80 minutes so you get a 360 view! For Reservations head on over to The Strat.

Bellagio Fountains

The water fountain show at the Bellagio Fountains is a FREE must-see when you're in Vegas. The schedule for the show is:

Mon-Fri – every half hour from 3 pm until 7 pm; every 15 minutes from 7 pm until 11:55 pm.

Sat, Sun & Holidays – every 30 minutes from 12pm until 7pm, every 15 minutes from 7pm until 11:55pm.

With so many times to see the fountains show its nearly impossible to miss it!

7 Magic Mountains

This is about a 20-30 min drive from the strip! The artwork is 7 beautifully colored rocks, all stacked with multiple rocks on top of each other.

This a great place for pictures for the whole family or all your friends! Your best bet is to rent a car if possible or simply catch an Uber to get you there! It gives you the full desert vibe experience. The address is S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054

The Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

Be prepared for a long wait at any time of day! OR Simply get a pic from afar! The location for the Vegas sign is 5200 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

At night enjoy the beautiful view and of the neon lights during the day bring out your best poses and get the legendary picture here! Parking is scarce so get that asap!
