Colorado Must Do's

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

While in Colorado I had the time of my life. I'm such a stickler for using every day of my vacation to see something new and with only 6 days I got to explore tons of Colorado. Take a look into how you can conquer Colorado!

My first tip for this post is to RENT A CAR you will definitely enjoy yourself more if you're on wheels! Plus our car rental was at the airport so it was hassle-free!

Breckenridge

This is a snow town like no other. The village-style town is a whopping 12 thousand feet above sea level! Here you'll find a thick blanket of snow upon every corner. This is the perfect place to go skiing. The town is filled with Ski Rentals spots for your convenience. Grab a parka and make your way to those slopes!

Enjoy a beer that stays cold all day long! You have tons of restaurants right off the main street. Small shops for souvenirs are around every corner! Plan to get there early and Stay warm now those snow flurries are no joke!

Denver

Downtown Denver is a must! Definitely worth the drive if you are staying outside the city. From Colorado Springs you're looking at about an hour drive!

On 16th Street is where you will find your needs from Breweries to Dispensaries! Walk through 16th Street and you'll find an entire shopping mall where you can shop til' you drop. The Free bus shown above allows you to hop on and off the long streets!

Garden of the Gods

In the heart of Colorado Springs you will find, Garden of the Gods. A sea of red hues greets you. A garden fit for the gods, this property was donated to the city of Colorado Springs. With one condition, that it remained free forever so that everyone is able to enjoy its beauty!

Make sure you've got boots and some glasses! Winds may be strong depending on the time of year! The red rock has so much dirt making it super unpleasant if you don't have your shades ready! The gift shop is right across the road and where you can use the restrooms and shop at their gift shop. Their balcony is where I got this awesome shot!

Hot Springs

These geothermal spas are quite the journey but once you find them they are totally worth it! Warm-up and take a dip into these steamy waters.

Suggestions are that you take a dip with a towel handy and maybe even skip the bathing suit and go for leggings and a T-shirt. If you're set on wearing your bathing suit then don't forget a pair of dry clothes for after the plunge!
